silky draped dress

by Nicole Regan in

The stockyards in Fort Worth are proving to be full of potential photoshoot opportunities. Who knew that would ever come out of my mouth. The tree lined streets provided some dark cover to create the moody effect I wanted to have while featuring this dress. I would love to do an evening shoot with this piece as well. The silk drapes beautifully and feels luxurious against my skin. Although the fabric is very thin, it is surprisingly not see through. I draped an old Topshop sheer trench over my shoulders as the early morning breeze was chilly. I paired the dress with my new favorite booties from The Dreslyn. I've recently been on a black ankle boot kick; the color and silhouette is a classic staple that I lacked within my wardrobe. These ankle boots have a wide opening, similar to a pair of Maison Martin Margiela booties that I was after years ago. I'm planning to wear them with my birthday outfit this coming weekend. Follow me on my Insta to see what I wear them with. Prepare to see more of this amazing Australian brand Tyrant Saint, the creators of this python printed leather cross body bag. With the two different straps, this bag can function as a purse with the silver metal chain, a cross body with the longer leather strap or a clutch. The quality is incredible, especially for the price. I have been so impressed with Australian brands and designers lately; check out Josh Goot, Ellery, Alice McCall, and Watson X Watson. I have a feeling that Australian Fashion Week is soon going to be added to the fashion month roster, joining New York, London, Milan and Paris.
