I was debating about posting this outfit as it is not my typical style, but Alex insisted that I should post it, so here you are! I have wanted to start incorporating this olive green color into my wardrobe. It's a color that is popping up a lot this season, especially with Marissa Webb's designs for Banana Republic, along with her own line. These are the two pieces I've been coveting: this army green skirt and jacket. I like to use it as a neutral, as it easily goes with either brown or black. Another way I plan on styling this off the shoulder top is with my voluminous culottes. I plan on getting this top hemmed a bit so that it is more of a crop top.
On a side note, I can't believe I move to Texas in less than a week! I'm feeling both excited and sad; I can't wait to finally be with Alex, but I am leaving the place where I have spent most of my life. I was feeling very nostalgic as I drove around to meet my friends at my favorite restaurants this past week. I know Minnesota so well. I have my friends here that I've known since elementary school, I met Alex here, I've created memories almost everywhere in the Twin Cities. It's hard to leave a place where I feel so comfortable. I said all of my 'see you soon's' to my best friends this week. It's certainly not goodbye as I plan on having lots of visitors once we are in our new place this fall. I love Minnesota, I love my friends and I love my family. I am sad to be leaving this place I know so well, but I can't wait to see what adventures I will have in Texas.
