We had such a fun and eventful weekend! On Friday, Alex and I packed a picnic and went to see Shakespeare in the Park in Dallas. We brought our blanket, lit a candle and enjoyed our dinner all before it started to rain. So we booked it home and went out with our friends to celebrate the good news; finally everyone has the right to marry and love. Love wins! On Saturday, we went back to downtown Dallas to go to the Reunion Tower Lawn Party where we played lawn games, got the best tacos and pizza from some local food trucks and enjoyed a free concert. The more we explore the city the more I love it. There is so much to do here, between Fort Worth and Dallas, I can't imagine that we will ever be bored.
Last Wednesday I went to a blogger event hosted by the lovely gals of @Dallasites101 and met some wonderful, ambitious and inspiring ladies. I wore this outfit for the meet and greet, which ended up being perfect for the hot evening, as the dress is thin and light and the vest is loose and flowy. As I am adjusting to my new climate, I have had to alter my choice in clothes when I know I'm not going to have the relief of air conditioning. Light colors, clothes that flow away from my body and pieces that don't cling.
