As you can probably tell from my style, I'm not terribly keen on anything that hugs my body too much. I feel more comfortable in items that allow me to move and breathe without feeling restricted or self conscious. Wearing things more loosely makes sense here in the heat of Texas, as anything too tight will leave you feeling uncomfortable when it's over 100 degrees out. For me, this is the perfect summer LBD. Not too sexy, with sleeves, and a bit boxy. The deep slit on the neck shows a peek of skin without exposing too much. This would look great belted, as a tunic, or layered over a skirt that is an inch or two longer. I wanted my gold jewelry to stand out so I kept the rest of the outfit relatively simple by pairing it with leg elongating black flats (the pointed toe adds length to the legs) and a favorite oversized clutch in a classic leopard print.
